The doctoral candidates of the Berlin School Mind and Brain are full members of this international graduate school which is based at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The School’s faculty members, who act as supervisors and lecturers in the doctoral program, are based at Humboldt-Universität and other universities and institutions in the metropolitan area. These include Freie Universität Berlin, Charité (the joint university medical school and university hospitals of Humboldt-Universität and Freie Universität), Technische Universität Berlin, universities of Potsdam, Magdeburg, and Leipzig. Faculty supervisors based in non-university institutions such as Max Planck institutes in Berlin and Leipzig will have a university affiliation with one of the universities listed above.
Doctoral candidates will usually enroll in the same university and department as one of their supervisors. Enrollment will also depend on the candidates’s previous degrees.
Doctoral candidates accepted into the Berlin School of Mind and Brain will discuss their matriculation and degree options with the management.
