“Unconscious thought in decision making”

Previous studies showed that unconscious thought improves the quality of decisions. Unconscious thought actually leads to better decisions than conscious thought under certain circumstances. For instance when a decision problem is complex. The question we addressed in our research is under which conditions unconscious thought does occur and when unconscious thought outperforms conscious thought in decision making.
