Responsibilities
Research in the field of philosophy of mind, political philosophy; collaboration on a research project of the chair within the DFG Cluster of Excellence EXC 2002 Science of Intelligence on the topic of “The Concept of Intelligence – a Philosophical Framework for Intelligence Research“; opportunity for own academic qualification (expansion of subject breadth in the field of philosophy of mind and political philosophy). Requirements
Completed academic studies in philosophy, cognitive science or another relevant subject (Master's degree); doctorate an advantage; substantial knowledge in philosophy of mind, artificial intelligence research and the neuro- and cognitive sciences; experience in interdisciplinary cooperation is expected; very good written and spoken English; independent and responsible work; experience in supervising students and doctoral candidates desirable.

This position will be funded by and part of Research Cluster "Science of Intelligence": https://www.scienceofintelligence.de/

Net salaries are a highly individual matter (depending e.g. on your expertise and experience, your previous employment in a similar position, whether you opt for an extra pension scheme, your health insurance rates, etc.), and we are unable to give you definite figures. We can only give you a rough estimate (no guarantee!) based on the gross salary levels of the public sector in Berlin in 2023. TV-L Berlin E13 at 100% for an experienced postdoc (several years of postdoc experience, single, no children) comes to approx. €3,000 net salary payments per month.

Responsibilities
Scientific services in research and teaching in the field of philosophy of mind; collaboration in research projects of the chair on the topic of consciousness, artificial intelligence.
Requirements
Completed university Master’s degree and a doctorate in philosophy, cognitive science, or another relevant subject; substantial knowledge in philosophy of mind and/or philosophy of science as well as related empirical subjects; very good command of written and spoken English, good knowledge of German an advantage; ability to work independently and responsibly. Experience and knowledge in interdisciplinary collaboration, teaching, supervision of students and doctoral candidates, German language and the German science system can be acquired to expand the previous specialization and qualification
