Abstract

In this talk, I propose a theory of the nature of skill, one that explains its connections to obviously important philosophical matters, and in particular to knowledge. This account vindicates the traditional place of skill as a properly central concern of philosophy.

The nearest stations of public transportation:
Subway: U-Oranienburger-Tor (U6) / Friedrichstr. (S1, S2, S5, S7, S75, S9, U6) → gate B

Tram: Torstraße/U-Oranienburger-Tor (12) / U-Oranienburger-Tor (M1) → gate B 
Bus: Robert-Koch-Platz (240, 123) → gate A OR: Charité-Campus-Mitte (147) / Invalidenpark (120, 245) / Karlplatz (TXL) → gate D

Walking directions

The campus has four entrances, the main one (A on the map) on Philippstraße 13, two gates (B and C on the map) on the south side of the campus, and one gate (D on the map) on the west side of the campus.
Gate A can be reached by foot from the nearby bus stops walking along the Hannoversche Straße. Once you are inside the campus walk along the paved walkway to the BCCN building (Haus 6).
Gate D is located at Luisenstraße 56 close to the bus 147 stop Charité-Campus-Mitte. Once you are inside the campus turn left and walk along the paved walkway passing the backside of the Humboldt Graduate School building, then turn right and follow the pathway until you reach a small bridge, After the bridge the BCCN building (Haus 6) is the first building on your left hand side.
