Travel Awards intended for students interested in applying for a research position within RTG 2386 “Extrospection”: Travel dates 4–7 July 2018

We offer 10 travel awards (partial or full reimbursement for travel and accommodation depending on individual circumstances) for promising international candidates with an interest in applying for one of the research positions in RTG 2386.

The travel awards will be advantageous for candidates with a serious interest in applying as they will receive more information about the project and have the opportunity to speak to potential supervisors before submitting their applications for the three-year fully-funded research positions within RTG 2386 “Extrospection. External access to higher cognitive processes”. (Please note: The application deadlines for the research positions within the RTG 2386 will be made known within the next few days.)

We know that the application deadline of 25 June 2018 for the travel awards and the travel dates 4–7 July 2018 will be too short for candidates who need visa. However, if you send us a suitable application (see below for details) and are interested in participating in the program, we will try to share parts of our Open Day 2018 with you through Skype or similar.

Anyone interested, whether travel awardee or not, can come and join the Open Day program (see internal link to Open Day 2018).
 

Applications for Travel Awards

Please send us the following documents:

(1) A meaningful letter of motivation (max 2 pages), detailing your interests in one of the 9 participating research topics for 2018–2021; the full project proposal of 5 pages will be required by Friday, 13 July 2018 11:59:59 a.m. CEST (see Doctoral positions 2018);

(2a) Copies (scans) of your Master's certificate and transcripts;

(2b) If Master's program not yet completed: transcripts and a timeline until the start of the project in October/November 2018;

(3) Full academic CV.
